First Voyage

“Oh Darling, Let’s Be Adventurers.” — Unknown

I’m Sorry, We’re Going…Where?

I was only nine when my mother came home and told us were moving. And, well, to be frank, I was a butt about it. With both my parents in the Navy, moves were common and schools changed often. At that point in time, we had been in Virginia Beach for a few years and I had a solid friend group. A move sounded rather crappy to a nine year old with her own agenda.

Unfortunately for me, I didn’t get a choice. My dad was at sea and there wasn’t anyone I could stay behind with. So in July of 2001 we made the move to Naples, Italy. I know, I know, how the hell could I be upset with that? Again, I was nine and an idiot, but don’t worry. Within a few weeks, I realized it was going to be an amazing adventure.

Now at twenty-six, I have six countries and twenty-three states under my belt. As each year passes, with my husband in tow, I gain new experiences, travel destinations, and the low down on all the local grub hubs. So get comfy, open your minds, and be ready for some adventure. I’ll post new content as often as I can.
